A cleanout is different from a renovation. Renovation debris is predictable: it is whatever the building is made of. A cleanout is whatever has accumulated, which means furniture, appliances, boxes, yard equipment, building offcuts somebody kept, and the occasional thing nobody can identify.
That mix is why cleanouts benefit from a short sorting pass before the container arrives. SteelPoint supplies and collects the container; the sorting and loading is carried out by you or by a crew you arrange.

Separate what should not be thrown away
Before anything goes in the container, pull out what still has a use: furniture in serviceable condition, working appliances, tools, unopened building materials and anything with donation or resale value. Charities, resale outlets and neighborhood groups take a surprising amount of it, and every item pulled out is volume you are not paying to dispose of.
Set aside a second pile for anything that needs specialist handling rather than general disposal — paint, solvents, batteries, fuels, pressurised cylinders, electronics. List those in your quote request and we will tell you what can go in the container and what has to take a different route.
Estimating the volume
Cleanout volume is chronically underestimated, because a full garage looks smaller than it loads. Count it in furniture: how many sofas, mattresses, appliances, cabinets and desks. Then add the boxes. That estimate is far more reliable than a square-footage guess, and it is what we can actually size a container against.
Breaking down furniture and flat-packing boxes before loading can easily change which container you need.

Paint, solvents, fuels, batteries, pressurised cylinders, electronics and tires are handled differently from general household waste. List anything of that kind up front and we will confirm what is acceptable.
Count the large items — sofas, mattresses, appliances, cabinets — and estimate the boxed material separately. Send that and we will recommend a container.
Rental duration is agreed as part of your quote. Tell us the days you plan to work and we will confirm the arrangement.
